P.S. I do not have children and this activity can get a little messy depending on your blow dryer.
So Here We Go...
You will need:
Crayons
Blow dryer
Hot Glue Gun
Canvas
1. Arrange your crayons in the order you desire.
2. Using your hot glue gun make a line hot glue and place the crayons on the line
NOTE: I normally place the whole crayon on the canvas, but
I'm using this canvas in a different way
3. Once the crayons are glue in place it Blow Dryer Time. I used the dryer on high.
NOTE: I place a plastic tablecloth down in case of mess and
titled my canvas at an angle so the wax can drip on the canvas.
4. Once you have your "desired design you are done.
Here is some science behind it.
1. Kids can learn the difference between solid and liquid states
2. Kids will notice that the darker crayons will melt faster than the lighter ones because of the pigments.
Who Says Science Can't Be FUN!
Now. I created this to be my background for my vision board. which is the reason my crayons are not completely on my board. I took them off. (A difficult task when you used hot glue and paper on your crayons.
Thanks for Visiting and Until Next Time
